India’s first glass skywalk!

If experiencing the adventure of walking on glass skywalks is your travel dream, you need not wait to get an international travel visa to do so.

A wonderful desi glass skywalk has been made in Sikkim’s Pelling. The skywalk in Pelling is located opposite the 137 ft tall statue of Chenrezig, amidst the magnificent Himalayas.

The Sikkim Skywalk is the first glass skywalk in India. It has been built so as to give a wonderful view of the Chenrezig statue and the stairs that lead up to it, with golden prayer wheels on each side.

This beast of a walk allows visitors to look down several thousand feet in the air. You get to behold everything down to the bottom of the mountain. This walkway is not for the fainthearted, or anyone who has vertigo.

Just hold onto the railing and do not look down on your walk if it makes your heart pound with fear; or, you could also take an adrenaline-pumping selfie, which would deserve all the likes!
The skywalk in Pelling also allows tourists to catch the sight of Teesta and Rangit rivers flowing closeby.

Opening hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
Entry ticket price: INR 50
Location: 2.5 km from Pelling
